Frequently Asked Questions
Do guests need to install an app?
No — anyone can join and upload through a shared link or QR code without installing anything. The in-app camera, which captures straight into the shared gallery, does need the app.
What if there is weak signal?
Photos and videos taken in the TasVid camera wait in a queue on the phone and upload automatically once the connection is back, so nothing gets lost in a patchy-network spot.
Can we stop new people joining later?
Yes — the event owner can turn the join link off at any time, or make the event private so each person needs approval.
Are my photos and videos compressed like in a chat app?
Photos are kept at their original quality, not compressed the way chat apps compress them. For videos you choose the quality when you upload: Original, High Quality (1080p) or Compressed, which uploads faster on a slow connection.
How do I find the photos I am in?
With face search. Take one selfie, with your consent, and instantly see every photo and video you appear in.
